Klamath Falls is served by daily north and southbound Amtrak passenger services as part of the Coast Starlight route.  Amrak also makes daily stops at Chemult in northern Klamath County with bus service to and from Chemult and Bend, and, in season, the Mount Bachelor Ski Resort.  The trip between Klamath Falls and Eugene and the Willamette Valley is known for its exceptional beauty, with often spectacular views of Upper Klamath Lake, Williamson River, Crescent and Odell lakes and lush pine forests.  On-board guides provide information about the Klamath Basin and its history, geology and flora and fauna during selected trips.  The Klamath Falls train depot is located within easy walking distance of the Klamath County Museum along with downtown businesses and restaurants.  Future plans call for extensive remodeling and improvements to the depot.

For information about Amtrak service contact the Klamath Falls Amtrak station at 541.884.2822 or 1.800.872.7245 or visit their website www.amtrak.com.
