5/1 (Thurs) - CHAUTAUQUA PROGRAM titled "Changing Perspectives on Oregon Geology" will be held at the Klamath County Museum at 7 PM.  Chautauqua is an adult education movement in the U.S., highly popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and regaining interest in recent years.  Former U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt is quoted as saying that Chautauqua is "the most American thing in America".  For more information, call 541.883.4208.

11/15 (Sat) - REFUGE TOUR AND MIGRATION PEAK FIELD TRIP This event will be cosponsored by the Klamath basin Wildlife Refuges and the Cal-Ore Wetland and Waterfowl Council.  Mid-November normally coincides with the peak of the fall waterfowl migration with the possibility of observing 15 to 20 species of ducks, geese, and swans.  It is also a good time to observe raptors with the possibility of observing 8-10 species in a single day.  All levels of bird watchers are welcome at this event.  For more information, call 530.661.2231.
